Designated as a World Heritage Site by United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the Belize Barrier Reef is the longest coral reef in the Western Hemisphere (185 miles long!). More than 200 cayes dot the blue waters off Belize's eastern coast. Scuba diving and deep-sea fish on Belize's atolls: Glover's Reef, Turneffe Islands, and Lighthouse Reef. Belize has the most extensive subterranean cave system in all of Central America. Explore over 250 of them and view artifacts from the ancient Maya civilization.
